SIFI is committed to the development of projects focused on all therapeutic areas, adopting a holistic approach which includes the analysis of various pathologies,  ophthalmologists’s needs and patients’s unexpressed requirements.

We have invented and developed two Drug Delivery platforms that allow the creation of more effective and safer products, thus reducing side effects and significantly improving patients’ compliance.

The first of such platform, is based on Xanthan Gum

The second of such platform is based on stable Nano-emulsions.

Furthermore, we are investigating the development of a new delivery platform based on Nanotechnologies.

These platforms make it possible to carry the drug just to the target area, be it on the ocular surface or in the anterior or posterior segment, allowing, as the case may need, an increased residence time on the ocular surface, or the absorption and diffusion into other specific areas.
